STUDENTS ON STAGE

MISSION

The mission of Island ETC Children’s Educational Program is to inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence in young audiences through dynamic theatrical experiences that combine storytelling, live music, and arts education. We are dedicated to making the performing arts accessible and engaging for children of all backgrounds, fostering imagination, emotional growth, and a lifelong appreciation for music and theatre through interactive, high-quality productions and educational programming.”

WHY WE USE LIVE MUSIC

At Island ETC, we also use live music in our children’s productions because it creates an immediate, immersive connection between performers and audiences. Live music brings energy, spontaneity, and emotional depth to storytelling in a way that recorded tracks cannot, helping young audiences stay engaged and emotionally connected to the performance.

By experiencing music performed in real time, children gain a deeper appreciation for the performing arts and see collaboration, creativity, and musicianship in action. Live accompaniment also encourages active listening, imagination, and participation, transforming theatre into a shared experience that is vibrant, memorable, and educational.
